That’s right! This spring I officially became a sideline sitting, crazy cheer leading, sport STUFF toting, soccer mom! And to celebrate we are having a giveaway!

I don’t know how all of you moms do it. My oldest son is in the Young Marines and now my youngest son is in soccer. In the fall I am thinking about signing up my daughter for dance. I know all of their activities won’t coincide all the time but I will be adding chauffeur to my list of mom duties for sure!

I admit it, I have a thing for labels. And while I don’t want you to get caught up on the little details when organizing, sometimes you may want to go above and beyond and really make a statement. Shaina offered some great tips on stocking your pantry and while my pantry is well stocked and functional, I envision it a little more like the picture above. Everything in beautiful jars with even more beautiful labels attached.

Perhaps one day I will make that extra effort but like I said our kitchen works as is. I am not setting myself up for perfection. With young kids in the house this might not be the most practical idea for our family right now. However, when the kids are a little older and I have some extra time on my hands, you just might find me etching labels on glass jars for the pantry! :)

So, here it is my very first vlog (video blog)! Last night I realized how many cups that my kids had used during the day and decided to do something about it. I actually tried doing this with a Sharpie in the past but it would wash off. The Mabel’s Labels worked! So far today only three cups for three kids have been used!

I am always looking for a great small gift for my kids teachers. Since we have three children and two of them also have a teacher’s helper we have at least 5 gifts to get and I like to get one for the younger kid’s preschool director. She is an organizing junkie like me! This year I decided to get them all a pack of Mabel’s Labels Sticky Labels and they were a huge hit. I opted for these instead of the classroom packs and wasn’t sure how it would go over. The teacher’s loved them though because they bring a lot of their own personal supplies and don’t want to get them mixed up with the schools supplies. This option is much cuter than a plain label maker. Perfect for those working with the little kids! Labels would also be a great end of year gift for the teachers so they have them as they prepare their classrooms for the next year.

To wrap the labels I just cut out half sheets of construction paper and use jute twine for a bow, simple and cost effective wrapping using things I already owned.

I love a good label, and I absolutely fell in love with these hanging labels.  We have this shelving system behind our sofa with movies, games and books.  We love to play games and watch movies as a family, and these baskets keep them close at hand and easily accessible.  So, when the mood strikes, we are ready to have a good time!
