I consider our style pretty contemporary but I love adding a touch of vintage every once in a while. When I see vintage suitcases I envision ways I can use them around the house but have refrained from buying any just yet without knowing exactly where they will go. Here are a few ways that people have used vintage suitcases to get organized:

1. Stack a few vintage suitcases on top of each other to create a side table next to the bed or couch. They can double as storage as well so you get two uses in one.
2. Organize your craft supplies to take with you on a craft night with your girlfriends.
3. Etsy seller VanityCase created a medicine cabinet …
4. As well as a liquor cabinet from a vintage suitcase.
5. Stack suitcases at the end of your bed to store extra blankets and pillows.
6. Daniel and Devon created an office organizer with this red suitcase.
7. Speaking of office supplies, Grace uses her vintage suitcase as an accordion file! Now that is creative.

Katja shared some inspiration for kid’s rooms from the Italian furniture company Di Liddo & Perego. I couldn’t help but notice the bed with built in storage. The mattress actually lifts up which would be a great place to store extra pillows, blankets or toys.

I showed you a couple of interesting medicine cabinet’s here and here. Now that I am getting over my medicine cabinet envy (and my cold) I will show you how we store our medicines. You see that box on the middle shelf, yep, that’s it. The medicine is in there, boring I know but it works. I have a separate box for travel size toiletries as well. Hanging on the door is a shoe organizer that I store more daily use type items in. Shoe organizers are great for all kinds of things though.

When I get tired of my boring box I will get a couple of tins like Benita because they look so much prettier. Still simple but I like this look much more.

I know one day I will get the itch to start switching out all the plastic boxes for beautiful baskets and bins but for now that’s our storage and I’m sticking with it.

I like this idea, if we had a medicine cabinet it would have to go on the wall next to our bathroom counter and I would rather it be a picture than a mirror.

I don’t even have a medicine cabinet but if I did I would want it to look like this. If it actually had medicine in it, it probably wouldn’t look so cute. I’ve already shared how I store my bathroom necessities. Maybe tomorrow I will feel well enough to show you how we store our medicines.
