Spring Is Here… Saying Goodbye To Winter STUFF!

Bye-bye bulky winter stuff… spring is here!

Spring has sprung and I am starting to tackle the cleaning and decluttering; the laundry has been going all day! To kick off the spring cleaning I always start with our bulky items. It’s time to get the winter blankets off the beds and tuck the heavy coats away!

For me, starting with the bulky items just makes everything else fall into place. I also take this time to put away sweaters and rotate the seasonal clothing for the kids. This is a great time to re-evaluate your wardrobes and get rid of anything that no longer fits your style and add items you need for the upcoming season.

What about you, what area do you like to start with when spring cleaning?

I can’t quite store the winter clothes yet–but soon. That’s probably the biggest spring cleaning activity for me. We keep our possessions fairly sparse, so there’s not that much else to change out.

Yes! I cleaned out our front hallway, packing away the snowsuits, boots, gloves, hats, coats, etc., and it felt SO good!

Good-bye winter coats. We have a small older home and NO mudroom or even coat closet in our entry. The first thing I do (and did just last weekend) is move all the winter coats into the basement until next year. It’s great having my open entryway back for a few months.

It’s almost that time here in MN, right now it’s still a little chilly, and it’s still possible to get snow here in April, but I can’t wait to put it all away! We’ve kind of got it all out right now, because it can go from 80 degrees to 30 over night. By the way, when you get done with your laundrey do you want to come over and help out with mine!?
