Our third child, our only baby girl was far chubbier than the boys. I loved her round cheeks and pudgy little arms. She looked just like her mommy as a baby. One thing we realized though early on is that our sweet robust baby girl was not going to fit into any cute little baby shoes. She wore socks throughout her infancy until we came across Crocs in size 6 just in time for her to start walking! And yes we know all about Stride Rite our middle child had an extra wide foot, but we could never find enough X’s to cover our baby girl’s feet. Not until she turned 2. Crocs were a life saver that first year!

Welcome to Picture My Memories! This week I decided to share a quick picture of my daughter’s first pair of Crocs. I keep a memory box for each child and their first pair of shoes will go into their boxes. I just find it funny that my daughter’s first pair of shoes were not only Crocs but size 6! Because that is all she could fit in! I hope one day with slimmer feet she will be able to look back at this and laugh. Or she might still be in Crocs, either way it is a memory we will cherish!
Remember, your STUFF has a story to tell. How well have you documented your memories for future generations?

With my daughter’s feet we learned that generic Crocs just don’t work. Her feet were too tall. She had her first pair before I had mine! Now I have two pair…and love them. (Just this week I posted about my love. http://livelearnlove226.blogspot.com/2010/03/tough-goodbye-made-better.html )
I also keep memory boxes. Those Crocs: cute!
I love Crocs for kids. They’re easy, they’re easy and they’re easy! Unfortunately, Drew (my youngest) wants NOTHING to do with them! Ugh! He wants the Jibitz that go IN them but not the shoes that you use the Jibitz with!? What’s up with THAT?
I couldn’t decide what to do with all the wonderful kid photos on the holiday cards…just couldn’t bear to throw them away. My daughter and I made a collage for my screen saver that we now bring up every holiday season. It’s a great way to look back at all the kids and see how they’ve grown over the years!

Our chunky monkey just got her first pair of mickey Crocs for the summer. Her crazy wide feet can’t possibly be wedged into her sister’s old summer sandals. And I laughed out loud at Stride Rite trying to fit her tree stumps into their W sandals.
What would we do without Crocs in the summer.
LOL, and luckily for the Crocs Mary Jane style that is the closest we came to a “dressy” shoe for her. I thought the poor kid would have to wear tennis shoes with her dresses!
