Some stuff is better written & somethings are better paired with a video. Last summer I was trying to make a canned food rack (that helps rotate the oldest food out first). I had three sets of written directions and it kept falling apart. Found a You-tube video showing someone making one & I discovered a trick the written directions left out. Viola! You make some very valid points and if I do future vlogs I will most likely include some kind of write up about the tip but perhaps a condensed version. It makes me wonder though if putting in the extra effort of vlogging would be worth it in the long run if I am just writing about it as well. I suppose it depends on the situation. I think for this post it was good to see that the labels could actually withstand the dishwasher. Otherwise you would just be taking my word for it. That way I can leave & pick back up reading when I return. That & most of my internet stuff is at work so video can be distracting and I could forget the details by the time I get home, get the kids in bed and want to try the idea. If it's written then I can print it out or copy the text into an appointment on my Ipod (I know weird but if I schedule the task it's more likely to get done or at least rescheduled to a later time rather then completely forgotten).
