We’re In The News – Organize and Donate To Live Clutter Free

by Tanna Clark

If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook you may have seen me mention a news segment I was on recently. I thought I would share the Better Nashville segment with our readers here as well. So, here it is..

I’ve done several TV shoots now and it is definitely a learning experience. Tell me what you think! I wish I had the stuff that didn’t make it, now that would be funny!

The homeowner was a real sweet heart and easy to work with. Her garage wasn’t that bad but we can always use a little more organization, Right! In the end she was amazed at how quickly we got things done and thought it was well worth the effort. I always say two heads are better than one! When you have someone helping you on a project like this you get motivated to get things done where as on your own we tend to drag our feet a little.

We mentioned the disposal of paint cans in the video so I thought I would share a great resource with you for finding recycling locations in your area. I have shared it on here before and I’ll say it again,  Earth911.com is a great place to go for all of your recycling needs. Every city, town and state is different when it comes to recycling so see what is available in your area. From what I have researched latex paint cans are ok to throw out f the paint is dry but clearly the best option would be recycling.

Of course, my favorite resource for donating your unwanted items is Goodwill. I partner up with them every year for a fun project and hear so many stories about lives they change. Get organized and donate! Goodwill makes it so easy to rid yourself of the clutter. I pass by two drop off locations every week! See if there is one in your area.
