When I started my organizing career in 2006 I had such high aspirations! I wanted to be the do all, be all organizer!
If you needed help moving, I could help. Downsizing assistance, I was up for the challenge! Helping set up yard sales, ugh what was I thinking?! When I opened up my doors for business I didn’t want to have to turn anyone away. Luckily when I first started I didn’t get any of these requests but in my mind I wanted to take it all on. I learned though rather quickly that I needed to narrow down my offerings. I needed to narrow down what I was best at. I needed to find my niche.
I found while being a stay at home mom that my passion was helping busy families get their homes and lives organized. I also happen to love organizing papers and more recently how to help people go “paper less”. Those are the areas of organization I am most passionate about.
In 2007 a client recommended that I start a blog and life as I knew it changed forever! I loved sharing the organizing ideas I came across and meeting so many people from around the world. I write about the topics that I am passionate about and it brings me great joy to share it with you all.
Still I see the potential for this blog to do more. To me “organizing the way you live work and play” stands for organizing all aspects of your life. However, there are just some things in life that I am not as passionate about tackling. Like cooking. Just to name one. :) I know there are people like me with weaknesses in certain areas and want to know how to be the best home managers they can be but they just don’t know where to start.
With that being said there are going to be a few changes coming this week and I can’t wait to share the news.
For now I would love for you to share…

Just found your blog and I’m in love. Makes my OCD very happy indeed!
My least favourite task is my nightly routine. My husband and I like to watch tv together at night and spend time together. We make dinner, put the dogs to bed and settle down to watch tv. By the time our shows are over, we’re exhausted and nothing else gets done. So much gets forgotten during these hours. Laundry, dishes, errands, important things we need to remember.
My favourite task is shampooing the carpet. There’s nothing more satisfying that dumping out the dirty water from my carpets knowing that they are much cleaner.
Can’t wait to hear the news!
