I have exciting news to share with you all! I will blogging at Mabelhood every Thursday starting today! Mabel thought it was high time her friends had an organizing expert on board to give her readers some tips on organizing kids like her. I am so excited to be blogging with Julie Cole, one of the founding moms of Mabel’s Labels and the talented Caitlin Madden whom I met recently at the Type-A Mom Conference.

mabelhood.jpg
You’ll find me at the Mabelhood talking about ways to get kids and busy families organized. Pretty much the same thing I do here! I know some of you don’t care and some of you may but for disclosure sake, yes, this is a paid opportunity. I also get “paid” in labels. I can’t wait to share with you how I will use them around the house. I know Hubby is hoping I don’t go overboard. Who me? Just know that if you see me here posting a picture of one of my kids with a label on his or her forehead you know, it has gone TO FAR! So just keep an eye out for that. :) It can’t get too much worse I mean I already have my light switches labeled!

Here is the best thing yet! I have labels to share. Oh yes. To celebrate my news I’m giving away some labels today!

Are you ready for this?  $100 worth of Mabel’s Labels! You will have 4 chances to win.

  1. Check out Mabel’s Labels and tell me what labels you like the most.
  2. Tell me what you would label in your home. (Just no labels on the foreheads please!)
  3. Subscribe to my new Facebook Fan page then come back here and let me know.
  4. If your not subscribing here yet. Well… subscribe and let me know you did.

One lucky reader will win a $100 Mabel’s Label gift certificate! Seriously is that cool or what! Just think of all the things you can label! You have until midnight Wednesday, October 28th to enter! I will announce the winner next Thursday. Have fun and happy labeling!

* This giveaway ended. Thank you for participating and congratulations Kristin T.!

I am an organization nut! If I only had enough time to get everything labeled! I would LOVE to label all of my kitchen, from all the spices, sugar, flour, tupperware, silverware, drawers, and cabinets! Also my sons books, DVDs, and CDs.

My favorite thing on the Mabel’s Label’s website is the Combo Packs! I have bought both of them in different colors and with different icons for all of my toddler son’s things! They are a great value, and make sure all of his things find their way home from pre-school!

I like the tag labels and bin labels.

I am working on organizing my craft area – so there would definitely be a lot of label usage there. We are also getting a new organization system for Charley’s room – so I’d use some labels there along with pictures to show her where her toys go.

I like the 411 wristbands – great for use on field trips and trips to the amusement park…especially now that Charley is such a fan of running…oh and doing the opposite of everything we say :)

I have subscribed to both the FB and the RSS. I love reading your posts. I LOVE your kitchen system and am already envisioning that in my kitchen (so thanks for the inspiration). I am pretty organized so my sister was surprised when I found someone who was MORE organized than me. Love it! :)

As for Mabel’s Labels – I love the bag tags. I have them on my son’s backpack and swimming bag. I would love to get more for my daughter and maybe even some for our family’s luggage!

Well, I’m officially a Facebook fan now, and I checked out Mabel’s Labels and would really love some clothing labels for the kids and household labels for me! I’m itching to redo my spices – start buying bulk at the co-op and make my own custom spice bottles. I have a lot of glass jars of staples in my pantry for which I’m using Post-its right now. I’d love to switch to Mabel’s Labels. Thanks for the give-away!

I love Mabel’s Labels… especially the clothing ones (iron-ons and tag mates). With two toddlers in daycare things are always getting mixed up with other kids and these would sure help that problem!

Okay–here’s a few ideas of how I would use the bin labels. We have a small home business that involves selling our wool as yarns and rovings and finished products. Bins help me keep things from piling up in a heap–but it’s not always easy to tell what weight of yarn is in the bin w/out a label. Voila! Mabel’s Labels to the rescue…

Reply

19 Tanna Clark October 27, 2009 at 9:07 pm

This would be a great use of the labels since you can customize them!

W/ my son now in Kindergarten, it’s suggested that everything be labeled w/ his name: coat, mittens, shoes, lunchbag, backpack… I resorted to writing in permanent marker, but I’d LOVE to win this so I could get some of the iron-ons!!!

Reply

76 Tanna Clark October 23, 2009 at 10:20 am

I know it’s getting crazy! We had to out their names on each individual crayon! Next year skinny minis!

Reply

77 Lisa R. October 23, 2009 at 10:55 am

EACH crayon?! Wow.
At my son’s school, each family had a list of supplies to bring the first day (even down to Kleenex and hand sanitizer!), and all of the kids in the class use them throughout the school year. So it’s just his personal objects that need labeling – it’s still a lot of stuff, though!!

86 Eos Mom October 22, 2009 at 6:49 pm

Because of my son’s allergies, I’d love the Allergy Alerts.

Reply

87 Tanna Clark October 23, 2009 at 9:24 am

The Allergy Alerts are a great idea, you can never be too safe. At my son and daughter’s preschool they put a big sign on the front door reminding parents what allergies were in the classroom in case they brought snack. I love that they take that extra precaution. They are very organized there! :)
