Car Theme Boys Room

by Tanna Clark

You saw the mess of a playroom and what we decided to do about it. You read about our toys storage options and what we finally chose. Then I shared with you how Hubby almost lost his finger making a bed. (Ok, so it wasn’t that bad but it could have been much worse.) Here is the long awaited boys room transformation…

Here is what we bought and where to get it…

  1. Pedestrian and Slippery When Wet Warning signs as well as Street sign from Rice Signs.  We already had the Stop sign.
  2. Ikea Trofast Storage System for the toys.
  3. Style of Ikea furniture we already owned.
  4. Kasey Quilt from Pottery Barn Kids. If you notice here, our daughter and oldest son have the other color Kasey Quilts to match their room. Love them!
  5. USA License Plate Map from Target.
  6. My Town Kids Rug from Lowe’s
  7. Porter Paints: Yorktown Blue and Beige Tellin

I love the two tall bookcases in the room – were those a new purchase or something you already have. I’m looking for something like that for my family room.

Great ideas for a boys room…

Thanks
Colleen

We already owned the book shelves. They were purchased from Ikea 5 years ago and they no longer carry them but have others similar.

I love how you re-purposed some of what you already had. This is a GREAT boy’s room! ~J

Thank you! We already had the license plates on the wall and it just spiraled from there. :)
