During our last outing to the antique store I saw an over abundance of old doors and windows just ripe for the picking. Well, I shared what I would like to do with an old door, now here are a couple of ideas for transforming antique windows into something useful.

Picture Frame
This window provides a perfectly divided option for storing a collage of photos.

Dry-Erase Message Board
Rebekah transformed this tired looking window into a lively message board.

Bathroom Cabinet
To add an artful cabinet to your bathroom attach a window to a simple shelving unit then fill with your lovely toiletries.

Chalkboard
You can keep your family organized and on track with this shabby chic chalkboard!
Now when you come across an antique shop with a stack of fabulous old windows I hope you take one of these ideas into consideration.
If you have another “old window” DIY idea feel free to share your idea!

Hey Tanna… I love the picture frame idea. I have a lot of photos and limited display space… this is perfect. Thanks bunches!
I’m so behind in my feedreader, Tanna, that it isn’t even funny, but I just saw this, and I love all of these ideas! Thanks so much!
Great idea’s. There is an antique shop near us with lots of windows that are very appealing to me but I never know what to do with them. Thanks for the ideas! I really like the chalk board idea.
Your ideas are so cool & very practical =)
Hi Tanna!
I used four windows put together with L-brackets to make a base for a dining table. I just put plywood on top and painted it out, and now it’s very sturdy.
Great ideas!
