My Baby Has Left The Nest – For 4 Hours

That’s right we took the plunge. My little girl is officially in preschool. We’ve gone back and forth on this several times because my baby is just 2. She will be 3 in October but we just weren’t sure if it was time yet. I don’t want to make her grow up too fast but she has become a little social butterfly over the past few months and I thought this would be great for her to spread her wings.

And spread her wings she did. Yesterday was her official first day. She walked in that classroom and never looked back. In that instant I knew it was time. It’s only 4 hours for 2 days a week but I think we both need it.

When we discussed the matter Hubby asked if would cause less stress for me. Well, I can’t say that she causes me stress. It’s the fact that I can’t seem to fit in a good amount of time to really concentrate on work during the week and still do everything else I need to do. My business has grown just the right amount over the last three years and I think this is a great next step to help ease the WAHM balance. Otherwise my house might always look like this.

Awe, great picture! I’m so jealous because here preschool is only two hours a day, two or three times a week. I just barely get started on something and it’s time to pick him up again. Four hours makes way more sense.

No fun! Another big thing for us was picking a preschool that doesn’t make them take a nap for an hour during that four hours. That’s what some of the others do. So when we get home my daughter crashes. I’m not paying them to have her sleep she can do that here. :)
