The Animal Bag from Boon is an innovative, multifunctional storage solution for one of the largest clutter culprits for kids…. Stuffed Animals!

bag 1.jpg

I saw the Animal Bag featured in a magazine quite some time ago and marked it as one of my “must try” items. For years I had our stuffed animals stored in a basket contemplating whether or not to just get rid of them all. The boys never played with them and at first my daughter wouldn’t touch anything plush. Well she finally came around and now has 4 stuffed animals she sleeps with at night and takes the others out often to play with.

The basket I was using to store the animals in moved on to bigger and better things so I thought it was time to give the Animal Bag a shot. The nice folks at Boon were happy to let me test one out and also give you a chance to win your very own!

The Animal Bag might not get played with every single day but it is one of those things that always serves its purpose. For me the biggest thing I was concerned about were the stuffed animals getting dusty. Yuck! Not to worry, your stuffed buddies will stay dust free. I mentioned above that the Animal Bag is multifunctional and that is because it makes for a nice cushy seat when it is all filled up! Your stuffed animals are instant stuffing turning the Animal Bag into a bean bag chair.

zip bag.jpg

The Animal Bag has three zippered opening to put the animals in. The zipper is very easy for even the smallest hands to use. The openings are made out of mesh to keep air flowing and you can see what animal is closest to that opening.

The Animal Bag makes clean up time easy and fun, and if your lucky your son or daughter might even curl up on top and take a nap when they are done playing!

The Animal Bag is kid tested and doggy approved, it definitely works for us!

Now here is your chance to win your very own Oval Animal Bag.

All you have to do to enter to win is to leave a comment here. Feel free to share how you are currently storing your stuffed animals.

You have until midnight Tuesday, July 21st to enter.

A winner will be announced Wednesday, July 22nd.

Wow! What a neat idea! We are finishing our basement at the moment and this would make such a cool way to store the kids stuffed animals and give them some seating as we won’t be able to furnish it for some time. So very glad I stumbled accross your blog this evening :)

LOVE IT! I wish I was a little more crafty…I would try to make my own for my two little girls! We have TONS of stuffed animals but after a recent garage sale I was able to widdle them down to a box or two of them. We are moving into a new house and I have been having a hard time deciding what to do with them so they are put away but still accessible for the girls. A shelf wouldn’t work well because my youngest is 2 and can’t reach them. Thanks for sharing this idea…if I don’t win one I might have to purchase one soon!

Now that is a fantastic invention! Currently our stuffies live in a huge tub. :) Boring and dangerous when someone wants to find the one who is of course living at the bottom of the bin! Thanks for a cool giveaway! tarakluth at juno dot com.

We used to keep my daughters’ stuffed animals in a repurposed large cardboard ball display case from a store. The bungee type cords kept the animals corraled but it was quite large. The girls are now sharing a room and we need the space in the closet. I was thinking about adding bean bags for comfortable seating and this gizmo can serve both purposes! Hope I win!

Would love a useful toy/storage bag for all of our safe plush toys!

What a great idea! I’m so glad I stopped by here today! Let’s see, we have animals in a baby doll playpen, in baskets, under the bed, beside the playpen at the end of the bed, on shelves and on top of the bed. We really need some control in this area!

What a great concept! Ours are in a big basket in the living room, but we can’t use it as a seat. :)

I would love to win one of these. Right now, my daughter’s stuffed animals are in a tub in her TROFAST shelving from IKEA, but I’d love to get them out of there.

Right now, the stuffed animals are in a princess laundry basket for Brookie and a spongebob laundry basket for Brendan. Looks great!

This would be perfect for all of the stuffed animals in my daughters closet :) She’d be able to play with them all the time and they’d be ALL TOGETHER!! :)

This is a neat concept. My MIL has a tendency to mail our son stuffed animal after stuffed animal. They are all stacked up along one wall of my son’s nursery. This will be great to not only use it as a seat, but also storage. Great idea!

We store our stuffed animals in the toy box or on the bed.

Current stuffed animal storage: on my own childhood bookcase, shoved in my son’s closet. Not nearly so awesome as the Animal Bag! I totally want that thing, now.

I love the idea of the Animal Bag – such a creative way to keep the stuffed animals away but still accessible! My daughter’s ones are on a bookshelf but don’t stay there very long. :) She’s “stolen” a few of my old stuffed animals that I don’t want to get rid of, but this would be the perfect way to store them if she wanted to play with them.

This idea is imaginative and multi-functional! Some people have the most creative minds. My son is obsessed with his stuffed toys, but also needs a place to curl up with a good book in his room. This is perfection!

Oh my! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. I’m so frustrated by with all of my daughter’s stuffed animals. She so rarely plays with them that I’ve seriously debated about getting rid of them. But…many of them were given to her by special people in her life (Grandparents & other family members)& I just hate to get rid of them.

Johanna July 16, 2009 at 4:42 pm

This would be amazing!!! Right now all stuffed animals are in big tub hidden behind the crib!

Reply

Jana July 16, 2009 at 4:26 pm

I would love this! All of our stuffed animals get thrown everywhere, and make the kids’ rooms look messy.

Laura July 16, 2009 at 4:18 pm

What a cute idea! Right now I keep the stuffed animals in a plastic basket. It isn’t very cute and they kind of spill out of it.

I love it!!! I have to get one for my kids.

I love this idea! My 5 yo would probably like using it as a chair, too.

Currently we have larger animals in a rolling basket at the end of the bed, and all those teeny ones clipped on a plastic chain that hangs from the ceiling. (and the current faves sitting on his pillow)

What a great giveaway! I currently toss all my daughter’s stuffed toys in a basket, but it’s pulling on some of them, so this would be much more useful!

My husband and I have been trying to find a solution, and this is really clever! I hate to pack up the stuffed animals because the girls love to play with them, but they are EVERYWHERE. Thanks for the giveaway!

This sounds like a super neat idea!! Currently, we are storing stuffed animals in a not so large basket and they are always falling out! Would love one of these … thanks for the chance!

We are currently storing our stuffed animals on the floor. No joke. They were in my toddler’s bed until he decided to sleep with just one or two and tossed the rest overboard. And that doesn’t count my husband’s stuffed animals from his childhood which are stored in a bin downstairs. Or the stuffed animals that reside in my twin’s beds and often end up on the floor, as well. Or the ones that hang out in the living room toy bin.

In other words, I need about THREE Animal Bags! LOL!

Stuffed animals are the bane of my existence. I will never give one as a gift because I know how many kids can rack up. We store ours in a hanging organizer from Ikea, as well as on a window seat. I’d love to get rid of some of ours, to be honest.

I love that they can use it as a bean bag when stuffed full of animals! Great idea! Ours are currently filling up a soft sided pop up hamper. It works ok and it easy to throw all the animals in when they get dumped out (like everyday!) but I love the bean bag idea!

Awesome! Right now, the stuffed animals in our house (and there are a LOT of them) occupy the top bunk of my daughter’s bunk bed. They will need a new home soon, though, because that bed is going to the boys, and the girls will have stand alone beds.

We have way too many stuffed animals at our house! My kids don’t want to part with any of them – which is very frustrating to me! We currently store our stuffies on the top bunk of their bunk beds, but this makes it difficult when we decide to have a friend sleep over! Help!

What a great idea. I’m telling grandparents to buy these for the kids for upcoming birthdays. Now if I could just win one for the birthday that’s passed… :)
Honestly, GREAT idea. Thanks!

What a great idea! I love this! I definitely need to get one for my “littles’” plush toys. They are currently storing them…well…wherever. I keep trying to get them in the toy box, but the smaller toys fall below and the plushies get pulled out so the other toys can be found. This is the perfect solution!

Tina July 15, 2009 at 7:27 pm

Nice idea, I love that the animals can be a chair as well! We have one of those IKEA hanging things with the various holes to shove things in hanging in the closet, and animals are supposed to go there…usually they ended up piled in the bed or on the floor. Once the kids take them out they don’t put them back in there very well.

This would be perfect – so many stuffed animals, so little space. Right now, many of my kids’ animals are in a pop-up hamper or scattered all over their room. Thanks!

I’ve been eyeing these animal bags since last year. One of these times I am going to break down and get one, probably for her birthday. They are such a great idea and functional and practical and not an eye sore. I love all Boon products and own many of them. For plush storage right now I use an Ikea hanging mesh thing that you hang from ceiling and it has 6 compartments. She also has a lot of never before seen (to her) plush packed in storage containers int he closet because she has too many to display, along with some placed about her room.

Shell July 15, 2009 at 6:05 pm

What a perfect solution.

Right now, I keep all of my daughter’s stuffies in a pop up laundry basket (the mesh kind) but her collection is continuing to grow. Yikes. I’ve been considering putting up shelves in her room but am not in love with the idea – plus the dust – argh.

It’s amazing how those critters multiply, especially considering I’ve only bought her one in all of her two years!
