We went shopping at a couple of local antique stores last weekend. I forgot how fun it can be to go browse around these little shops. We don’t do it often enough. We were looking for a bookshelf for my son’s room and we totally scored. Although it’s not really antique it is solid wood and we got a great deal. I also found not one but two globes to add to our collection. My son’s room is blue and green with several maps on the wall, we were sort of going for a global theme because he is a huge history buff.
Here is an example of the look I am going for. Colleen at Fresh Vintage has this collection of globes. My son’s room is very simple and I thought a great collection of globes can throw some extra color into the room.
