Purse Keeper

by Tanna Clark

I’ve gone into many a closet and found purses slumped over, or stacked on top of each other, and lost under a pile of clothes, sound familiar? When I’m working with clients in their closets I try to make room for the stuff they love so they can actually see what they have. What’s the point in having all of that stuff if you don’t even know it’s there?

In comes the PurseKeeper, a handy organizer for each individual purse.  A PurseKeeper is a clear vinyl storage bag and it comes with a purse stuffer. For those of you with that quizzical look upon your face, a purse stuffer is essentially a pillow you insert in the purse to hold it’s shape.

With the PurseKeeper your purse is protected from dust, it won’t fall over, and at the same time you can see through the bag so you know exactly what you have. The PurseKeeper can also be used for storing belts, scarves and other accessories .

For those of you that love your handbags and want to keep them protected I would consider the PurseKeeper as a storage option. The PurseKeepers are available in 3 sizes -Small $14.99, Medium- $19.99 and Large $29.99 at Bed Bath & Beyond. We all know that some of you spend quite a bit more on your purses than this so think about taking the extra measure to protect your “fashion investment”. The PurseKeeper was designed by Manhattan based professional organizer, Lisa Jacobs.

** Oh, and see the picture of my black purse compared to the brown purse in the top picture? The little flaps that are sticking out on the side of the bag in the top pictures allows for air flow so the bag does not stick to the purse. I didn’t read that before I took my picture. I was trying to make it all tucked in and pretty looking. :) The flaps actually serve a purpose, who knew?
