Here is my little princess. We’re embarking into the girly phase. She is (for the most part) leaving her brother’s toys alone and finding her own way. She is liking all things pretty now. I am trying to find new ways to organize her dress up accessories. We made this little jewelry organizer out of scrap wood. Hubby cut the wood to size and I painted it. He screwed in the little hooks and attached it to the wall. I didn’t want anything to fancy because as she grows her needs will change and we might settle on another alternative.
She loves hanging all of her “pretties” up and now she knows where they all are. When we took big brother to swim practice tonight she put on all of her jewelry and put it all back when we returned home. The organizer is simple enough for her to hang everything up and spaced out just enough for her little fingers to manipulate. She is so happy with her new organizer and that works for me!

Love that idea!!! We have lots of jewelry around here and it’s always tangled up. Any ideas for earrings????
Amy,
For earrings you could take a square piece of screen, like from a screen door, except a new clean piece. Frame it like a picture. Instead of hanging it with picture hangers, hang it with a couple of small hinges on the top so all you have to do is flip it up a little to take off the back of the earring. You could make the frame out of wood and paint it any color you like, or buy a premade frame.
What a great idea! With two girls, we have tons of dress-up accessories, so this could be a great solution to just throwing them all in a basket. Thanks for sharing!
I really like this, I think I could make it work for my own necklaces!
Yes, definitely, I might do it in my closet, not sure yet though :)
What a great idea!!!!
Great idea. My little one LOVES dressing up. I like the small hooks for accessories.
