Today I decided to tackle the hair accessories that are ending up all over the house. My daughter takes out her barrettes at random and they end up everywhere. I’m hoping if she has a place to put them back within reach it I can encourage her to do so.
First I gathered everything up, and took out the things that we won’t use. I originally had everything in one drawer of this organizer and the other drawers had travel size toiletries and makeup.
I keep all of our hair accessories together at the moment, until my daughter is old enough to take care of these things on her own. Since the collection has grown I decided to use this whole 3 Drawer Organizer
All nice and organized! I will keep this drawer organizer under my bathroom sink so we can both get to it when we need it, but still behind a closed door so she will be less likely to go in and help herself. At least I am hoping that will work for me! If not I will move it into the bathroom closet.
On a side note, you can find a lot of containers that are smaller than this and still work. This is just something I had and decided to reuse it.

I found a snapware container at Target that has 4 parts to it. It is just the right size to fit all my 8 year old’s hair stuff and fit into the vanity drawer. It also has a handle. We just started using it last week and so far I haven’t noticed the usual stray hair bands all over the house.
I did this today too!! Great minds think a like!!
