I showed you a couple of interesting medicine cabinet’s here and here. Now that I am getting over my medicine cabinet envy (and my cold) I will show you how we store our medicines. You see that box on the middle shelf, yep, that’s it. The medicine is in there, boring I know but it works. I have a separate box for travel size toiletries as well. Hanging on the door is a shoe organizer that I store more daily use type items in. Shoe organizers are great for all kinds of things though.

When I get tired of my boring box I will get a couple of tins like Benita because they look so much prettier. Still simple but I like this look much more.
I know one day I will get the itch to start switching out all the plastic boxes for beautiful baskets and bins but for now that’s our storage and I’m sticking with it.

I love the tins, and I love the “vintage” red-cross look. Did you stencil paint them on? Did you make painted magnets? Or did you use tape? You have so much space and I am so envious! My linen closet is taken over by my H&B stockpile and it needs some attention. AND, I really like the hanging door shoe organizer. I think I might try that in my bathroom. Do you think I could dress it up with a little colored seam binding tape on the “rim” of each pocket? Or is there plastic there? Thanks for all the wonderful tips. It is always a joy to read your blog!

Hello Abbie, Thanks for stopping by! The tins are from another blog that I linked to under the picture. She used magnets for the crosses. Oh, and I love the pocket shoe organizers, we have one down stairs for winter hats and gloves as well. When it is time to change out the seasonal stuff I can fold it up and stash it until it is time to bring it out again. The one in the picture is a mesh fabric. I’ve seen them plastic and decorative so you have options or can dress it up yourself!
