My grandparents had this sewing table refurbished with a regular tabletop and gave it to my mom. The sewing table serves as her desk in her apartment. I adore it!

That’s a great idea! I love to go to the local auction, and every few weeks they have at least one sewing table, often with a non-working machine. What a great use for it!
