When going out to do errands, organize your to-do list to keep from backtracking through town. This is also a good rule to apply before leaving for school or work. Double check that you have all necessary items to prevent having to go back home to recover forgotten items like books.

This works great if your pre-schooler doesn’t wet his pants/the car seat on you way to do after school errands… thus necessitating a trip home to clean things up before heading out again for errands. We’ve all been there, right?
