Last week the big guy went off to second grade and this week my little guy started Tuesday/Thursday school. It is like a mom’s day out program but they do more academics. There is no way hubby would have agreed to me sending him off somewhere and paying for him to take a nap while he is there so this place was a perfect match. He is only there for four hours so I do agree. I think it will be a great beginning for pre-school and he needs the extra interaction right now. Mom just isn’t cutting it any more. Oh, and I get two days to get work done and run errands with only one child in tow. Piece of cake!
My daughter actually slept most of the time he was gone on Tuesday and so far so good, she has been sleeping peacefully most of the time today. Now it’s time to rework the schedule and see how much I can get done in 4 hours two 2 a week. I really hope she sticks to this nap schedule for a while, this is great! Now it’s time to once again rework my schedule to find a better balance for my work at home, stay at home mommy life.
Remember for different ages there will be different stages and your systems will always need to be tweaked. One day I have all three kids at home and now I am here with just one. Soon will come the time when I will be spending more time in the car running them from here to there and balancing it all ever so carefully.
Here is my little guy when he got home from school on Tuesday. He was worn out. I just love the hot sweaty little boy look after a hard day of learning and playing.

Aww, the picture at the end is so cute and sweet :)
Love that picture of your little guy. So sweet. My kids can fall asleep anywhere too.
