Poor Girl’s GPS

by Tanna Clark

in Office Solutions

Remember that little chat Hubby and I had last month regarding the possibility of purchasing a GPS for my birthday. Well, we put that idea on hold for a while so we can put that money toward shipping one of the two smaller children off to Mother’s Day Out in the fall. That means I will have TWO children gone twice a week. Oh, my what’s a mother to do.

So for the time being I will stick to my routine of Googling an address and simplifying it into post-it-note form and sticking it to my dashboard. Hey, works for me!

this is hilarious! my version is the printed mapquest directions sitting in the passenger seat. yours is a million times better!

reminds me of the episode of “the office” where michael scott drove into the river because the gps told him to!!! LOL!

(found you through rocksinmydryer, btw) :)

I cracked up when I saw your post-its! That’s great though and it sure beats printing out maps everytime. That gets to be a waste. Like forgetfulone, I’ve also found our GPS to be a bit annoying at times.

I am directionally challenged so my husband bought me a TomTom. Love it, love it, love it. I can go anywhere and find anything with it. I have never found it to be wrong. Sometimes the routes are a little strange but it always gets me where I want to be. So, don’t give up on your GPS just yet.

I borrowed my sister’s GPS once. I got totally lost.

I like your sticky note idea!

That’s hilarious! Actually, it’s a good idea- much better than my way of writing the directions on the back of some scrap of paper that I *know* I had here somewhere…Cool!

We had a GPS that we got from my in-laws and found it to be annoying, not user friendly, distracting, and half the time, wrong. I like sticky notes better!
