I agree completely. My mom passed away just over two years ago and I am left trying (even still) to figure out who I am without a guiding compass. My mom was only 65 and I have two small children – I was confused as to why God had taken away such an important part of our lives. Recently I am looking for ways to share “Grammy” with my children. I am examining myself to find my mother’s influence and sharing those moments with my children.
Wile my mother did not have the “years in her life” that we had planned, now I see that she truly had “life in her years” and THAT is what I can share with my children.
